Educational Policy of St.Ann

Medium of Instruction:- The medium of instructions as well as communication is English. The school caters to the educational needs of the elite and thus it maintains its high standard through imparting education in English.

Co-Education:- A country like India, has tremendous potentialities in its Women population which has been totally neglected for centuries. We donโ€™t discriminate between girls and boys. From its inception St. Ann is a Co-Education school.

House System:- We focus on character formation and personality development. Precious gems have special significance and importance in human life. Our students are as precious as gems so we categorized them into different houses named as Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire and Topaz. We arrange inter house competition throughout the year.

Schoolโ€™s Social Commitment:- โ€˜The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but a thing you do for others remain as your legacy.โ€™ Since its foundation, the school helps the less privileged and down-trodden stream of the society. The school provides free education and concessions in fees for economically backward section. The school runs two drop-out centers where many students are educated. The alms are given to the old age homes, orphanages and aids centers. We conduct regular exposure programmes to these places for students to know the social realities. โ€œThe future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of the dreams. The agenda of education at St. Annโ€™s is to focus more on formation of the youth rather than just imparting knowledge. The school inculcates the qualities of excellence, desire for freedom, courage, confidence, spirit of inquisitiveness etc. in its students to face the challenges of the 21st Century.

Light to Enlighten

School Emblem

Meaning of School Emblem and Motto:

Asato ma sadgamaya...
Lead me from the asat to the sat.
tamaso ma jyotirgamaya...
Lead me from darkness to light.
mrtyorma amrtam gamaya...
Lead me from death to immortality.

This is true prayer:

The seekerโ€™s admission of his sense of limitedness and his heartfelt cry for assistance in transcendence. It is not a prayer for the things of the world. It is not a pray for food, shelter, health, partnership, riches, success, fame, glory or even for heaven. The essence of each of these three mantras is the same:    โ€œO, Guru, help me free myself  from  my  sundry  misunderstanding regarding  myself, the  universe and God and bless me with true knowledge.

Amen
